Things I Learned In My Youth

Maple trees are easiest to climb
Oak trees will offer the grandest view
Willows are better to hide behind
if there is someone looking for you

Love thy neighbor will always be right
but lust is definitely a sin
In a fight between a fist and nose
the nose ain’t never going to win

Don’t raise your hand to impress a girl
if you don’t really know the answer
Don’t take her out to a hockey game
if you are trying to romance her

We’ll keep in touch means that it’s the end
despite all of your good intentions
Out of sight will be out of mind
If you don’t pay close attention
