There Is a Girl Walking Under the Rain

There is a girl walking under the rain.
It is cold, It is windy, she whirls fast.
She falls and laughs, then whirls again.
How long the rain will last?

I knock twice on the hazy window glass.
She jumps and runs, she hears nothing,
White shoes covered by a mucky mass.
Can she sit in the porch’s swing?

I only hear the raindrops on the roof.
Yet she sings, She dances, she is odd,
If I join outside, I can follow, I can woof.
Is the rain a bless from God?

I wish I could leave the door open,
She will peak and giggle and stay away
Picking the daises and roses in the garden.
Will she talk with me someday?

There is a girl walking under the rain.
She is charming and coy, She is so fair,
I will not leave my bed ever again.
Why, why this merry air?
