Love Poem: Then There Was Nothing

Then There Was Nothing

I should've let you go,
but I shouldn't
I could've shown you trust,
but I couldn't
I had a chance to explain,
but I didn't
I must have been in love,
but it was nothing.

Then you took a nap
 there by my side,
And you dreamt of places
We couldn't hide,
I looked like a coward
 in disguise
blinded, fooled and
jeopardized.

I couldn't exaggerate
further,
When the real word
Starts to utter,
You blabbered things
I couldn't imagine
left me hanging, anxious
and broken.

Enough of this dreams
to be dreamt,
forget the promises
we meant
All I knew is we we walked,
ran and slept,
and I guess our love's
not fated to be kept.
