The Word
The word is more than the Bible you see
The Word is Jesus, He came for you and me
The Word became flesh as Jesus our King
The good news of God’s love and salvation He did bring
He was God himself in form of man
He came to reveal His salvation plan
He walked this Earth just as you and I do
So He would know everything you and I go through
He lived His life without sin
Only goodness, mercy, love and forgiveness were found within
He healed the sick, made the blind to see
People wondered what kind of man this must be
He was God’s Son right here on Earth
He came by way of virgin birth
Jealous people hung Him on a tree
He gave His life for you and me
In the grave He did not stay
He rose the third day
Now He sits at God’s right hand
One day before Him all will stand.
