Love Poem: The Window

Written by: Sangam Giri

The Window

through it, we
gazed the sky
U counted stars,
and I wondered why
With the wind that blew
on our face
and that occasional
heaven's grace
that soaked us up
and gave some joy
like a little girl
with a priceless toy
we both were drenched
like handcuffed
it was just rain
but i took it love

through it, I
see nothing now
A curtain stands
there somehow
the wind blows it
towards me
and what I miss
it reminds me
crazy sounds,
it makes at night
the wind pokes
through my fright

Forever, was the word we used
even when heavily bruised
And now they laugh as we pretend
To have foreseen the end

But I'm here now,
with the window
In this clear night
And the harsh blow
The window still stands, for me
Against the wind
Through hard times, we couldn't last
But the window
It's still not shattered,
though made of glass
