Love Poem: The Wind

The Wind

Silently I cradle her
and watch her as she sleeps,
I gently brush her hair aside
to kiss her rosey cheeks...
she calls to me in dreams most times
but little did she know
I was always with the moonlight
watching her thru the window...
Like a shepherd in the night
guarding all his precious sheep,
I`d lay myself across her chest
and watch her fall asleep...
careful not to wake her
as I fill her lungs with air,
breathing life into her bosom
with all the love I have to share...
I'm absent when there's silence
it was me who brushed your hair
because the candle light that dances
is the hint that I`m still there...
So as you sleep and dream my love
and take me deep within,
know one day we`ll be together
but for now I`m just the wind...
