The Whims Of Fate

Love is tethered to my heart forever; fueled by trust, and yet, trust has never created a bond; time could not sever. A wish, faint and fading. Suffering its thorns, I embraced a rose: and in the throes of ecstasy, time froze; that's why it's called spellbinding, I suppose. A wish, faint and fading. Happiness is an elusive feeling when a hurting heart, in need of healing, confronts the truth; trust has been concealing. A wish, faint and fading. I plunge into the depths of depression wherein shadows become an obsession: and reality's subject to question. A wish, faint and fading. I seek someone to share my heart and soul; allowing me to relinquish control to the whims of fate, and for once, feel whole. A wish, faint and fading.
