The Thought of You

The thought of you, served with a smile Enchanting my heart with your caring Like a soft whisper soothing with silence Breathing hope across my hungry heart Filling my life with sensations of unity Felt on the flickering flame of an embrace Coloring in hues of compassion and light Warming my heart with kind thoughts Murmuring gently through my soul Music that heals and makes me whole The thought of you, drifting on the water Flowing in the noonday sun, alive Dancing like fire through the vision Rich with sensations of crimson sounds Rustling lightly across my spirit Filling me with enlightenment, insight Inspiring me to free my thoughts Reveal the truth of hope and faith That lives amid the soul’s gifts of Amazing grace, God’s guiding brilliance The thought of you, singing romance Tendrils of a caress across my nakedness Where innocence pleads with cruelty Arousing the sense of truth and kindness That illuminates the spirit with a fire From the One who knows me better Than I know myself, better than the Familiar mirror who reveals to me The callous edges and rusty nicks That scrape my benevolence with Regret and remorse, a longing for The thought of you, my beloved The one who brings out the best And sends me on a generous mission For the One who will fill my heart My soul – with pure inspiration Fulfillment and grace that comes From allowing love to linger there Amid the struggles, fears and tears That suffocate my breath of hope But can never extinguish the light Of God – who inspired this deep love On the inside, where I know The thought of you abides, alive Inspiring my desire for a union Between two hearts, two thoughts Two who love, unconditionally With all they are, always Stirred by the God of love
