The Sweet Pangs of Love Unrealized

I hear her out there talking and like an animal I cock my ear to listen;
She’s too young or I’m too old; either way it is concluded by me to be illogical;
But still I listen; I listen to the sounds of a woman in search.
  I wish I could be the one to find her but it’s too unlikely
  She told me once she had acquired special feelings from our brief interactions
  But it’s one of those born to late kind of things; and I try not to listen but I do
The sweetness she hides is sweeter than any name could ever describe;
I know I could love this creature for so long of a time; but she’ll never be mine.
So I listen and sometimes I watch as tribute to beauty of the soul of a woman.
     I hope she gets what she wants and not what people tell her she deserves.
     I’ve seen her with the family babies; her loyalty and devotions are unshakable
     She’s a keeper and I’ll remember her always; even in that new home in the sky.
