The Smile I Must Fake

Your eyes I see in the dark
When I wake it's my smile I must fake.
The one I've mastered since a child.
You know the one I tried to use with you, but you saw right through.

I ware your shirt to sleep at night, hopeing to roll over and feel you heartbeat next
to mine.
But instead all I find is your shreaded pillow you left behind.

My fear becomes anger as the truth becomes clearer.

I can't, I won't beleive these fears that fester inside me.

Tell me is it truth I am fighting?
Or is it truth that I am fighting to hold on too?

Stuck in a nightmare I can not awake.
Tears continue to stream down my face.

I need reasurence your love is really mine.
Or what do I have but a distant memory of the greatest love you left behind?

  Is it me you want?
Or is it really her your holding when the lights go out?

Don't you understand how much I need you?
Your my best friend--the love of my life.

I loved you in the begining, I will love you if we end.
There will be no one after you.
Just the same nightmare to play over and over again

You let her in our home, to gather your things.
You should have just handed her a knife and told her to finish things.
It would have coused less pain.

Your words and eyes have stolen my freedom,
your lips you know i need them.
Without being able to touch you my heart will forever ache.

Your eyes I see in the dark knowing come morning anouther smile I will fake.

Just know in your heart I will love you till the end of time no matter what decision
you make!
