Love Poem: The Smell of Jasmine

The Smell of Jasmine

I’ve watched you from across the patio so many times;
I try so hard not to show any outward interest;
But you are so captivating I can’t help myself.
And that apparent mystery behind those expressive eyes;
It makes you even more irresistible.

I wish for just one afternoon I could view the stories of your life;
In the changing tides that inevitably mark the days of your existence.
Everything about you says this is woman;
Enjoy your day fair lady as we sit in our separate corners;
You drinking your cappuccino and me with me iced coffee

Please forgive me if you see me watching;
I must confess that when it comes to beauty;
I am helpless but to admire what I see.
And you dear lady on the patio;
You’re the kind of woman most men can only dream of.
