The Shape of You

In the summer of yearning my glacial heart melts,
you float away far in the fervent flood
to the shore of the seamless sea called love,
extending to eternity at the end of my world.

As the spectrum of my rainbow dreams fades away,
the colors dissolve in the cauldron of despair.
The illusive silver lines I can’t keep on holding,
for these drift away with the shapeless storm cloud.

You’ve been so near yet so very far,
but your enticing shadow I see afloat
on the cascading stream in my eye,
where my love lies within drowned debris.

You take away the sunburst dawn’s hue,
and leave for me no color to paint my heart.
When night descends with the somber sky,
I see you defined in the shape of tear.
