The Outcome...1st Edition Final Chapter

With you I can't pretend;
Can't hide anything from my friend.

Both of our hearts filled with pain;
We both drove each other insane.

"He says, she says";
What about what we say?

Everyone directs and produces the script to our life;
Telling you how to be a husband and I a wife.

"If I were you, I would";
They're not you, so how do they know if they could?

Why couldn't we be left alone after we moved on?
No one seemed happy unless we were doing wrong.

Many against us, few stood by;
The ones who placed their bets, won by a landslide.

They assisted in breaking up something that was vowed on October 21st;
That day was to be blessed, not cursed.

" I bet, you should, why don't you". All the famous words of the critics;
Loving the fact that what was broke could not be fixed.

Our children lose the most of all. No explanation of what's going on;
Having two parents too childish to get along.

Hoping you are happy with all that is to be;
Even if your happiness doesn't include me.
