The Night Jesus Was Betrayed

I wonder what it was like the
 night Jesus was betrayed…
I’m sure the look upon his face was
one of sadness displayed.

The one whom he had called a disciple…
To be among friends…
Sold him for a few pieces of silver...
And soon Christ’ trial began…

Judas… Who betrayed him had
a last chance to be forgiven.
But refused to “change the course”
in the way he was livin.’

His life came to a quick and sudden death…
He had a chance to repent before
he took his last breath.

How many of us have betrayed
this one who loves us?
God gave us his son…
But can he really “trust us?”

Will you take and sell that which
 God has given to you?
Will you turn your back on the
one who says; “I LOVE YOU?”

Christ has given to you the
best he could give…
Think of his sacrifice…
Each day you live…

Please don’t “sell out” for a few
pieces of silver or gold…
Jesus can give you eternal life
 and his glory to behold!

Won’t you accept God’s gift
with an opened heart?
Allow him to give you a new beginning…
And a fresh start!
