The Mirror

The mirror shows the backward of your soul.
And when you look at yourself you only see beauty.
Your vanity knows no bounds.
No one compares to you so you tell yourself.
You are always desired but never wanted.
The mirrored glass always lies.
But you never believe it in your eyes.
What the eye sees is not your soul.
You are the only one who doesn’t believe your cold.
You see all men as worthy but not to you.
To you they are to be used and often abused.
But the day will dawn when the mirror will crack.
And you will not like what you see staring back.
time is a cruel teaser you will see as you get older.
The one who loved you! For you and not your face.
Was the one you were cruel to,you showed him no grace.
But now he is with the girl who you wish you could replace.
In the mirror she is far more elegant more beautiful. Always.
Now Grey and old you look in the mirror.
You see no more a maiden no more a girl.
Just a sad old woman who could have had it all.
You waited too long the years caught your fall.
Your photos faded and old remind you of what was lost.
Now the time will come soon when you are gone.
In the cold damp room the mirror stands.Waiting
till its next Bombastic victim.
Another who will look and say.
Look how beautiful I am today.
