The Messenger

As the crowd quickly gathered round,
To hear the exciting words this strange man was spreading throughout our
town.
He said I am a messenger and I come from very, very far away,
I bring good tidings as he spoke in words from olden days.
You simply clung to every word this strange man spoke,
He said before this day is passed glorious things will happen to many folk.
He spoke so softly but his words they thundered in my ears,
As I tried to stifle the on coming flood of rushing tears.
They were tears of joy that cleansed the inner soul,
This man was Gods messenger sharing salvation was his only goal.
Repent your sins and claim Jesus to be your Savior is all there is to know,
Turn yourself from evil and follow Gods word where ere you go.
I felt so light like I could nearly fly,
I wanted to laugh as tears ran from my eye.
This was the greatest day I’ve ever known,
And people had the brightest of smiles as their love was shown.
A total stranger brought these heavenly words to us this day,
Informing us the Master will return as he made along his way.
The last chance we’ve received now it’s up to us to make our choice.
This man spoke love through Gods own voice.
Then all at once a great light appeared,
And when it left the man was gone that was standing here.
The crowd started shouting and praising our Lord,
And thanking Him for letting us experience this heavenly reward.
Then I awoke from this reoccurring dream,
It was so real, so real it seemed.
