Love Poem: The Letter

The Letter

Sun shines across the valley of my heart.
Yet, I'm cold and chilled, still covered in snow.
Left to fend winter days by you, sweetheart.
Alone in this valley where none will grow.
Here I'll stay, till' the next spring will arrive.
Anger shall be the fire that keeps me warm.
Fueled by betrayal, feeds how I'll survive.
Strength from my innocence helps fight the storm.
The loss is yours, my heart always pure.
If purity can't hold you, nothing will.
You'll always be lonely, your heart unsure.
The emptiness you have, no love could fill.

Memory of you, will leave in the spring.
Not worthy of love, or life it may bring.
