Last One To Know I parked out in the parking lot and I walked in the door. I saw you dancing there with him. What the hell am I here for? I stepped up to the bar there's so much more to realize. As I looked at the bartender and as he hid his eyes. I turned away to look away but every where I looked I see. Peoples embarrassed glances looking back at me. The music changed its tempo. and you both started dancing slow. While the whole world just sat staring at the last one on earth to know. There were no words for me to say. I didn't know what I should think. I ordered up a double and I drank it in one drink. As I drove away that night with just the radio to remind me. Of everything I never had and how I left it all behind me. I can't forget where all I've been I'm not sure where I'll go. It seems I'm clinging to the hope you'll be the last to know. Edwin C Hofert
