Love Poem: The Last Kiss

The Last Kiss

Under the oak tree
I sit, tracing the sea
of innumerable stars,
all like golden bars
reflecting off horizon shores.
The lull breeze,
like your arms once,
held me tightly in its embrace.

Tho, bragging to the stars;
the last
time I saw you-
you were still as handsome
as the first day I laid eyes on you.
The last
you held out your hand,
touched me,
sent me whimpering
as I melted against you.
There is no other
who compares to you.
The last
you left me
without so much of a farewell,
but before the dawn
I came back
to your side
to get
the last
kiss.
