The Jasmines

Still as death was the autumn night,
When Jasmines two bloomed in light,
From the wooden frame of solace,
Where hands were seen in embrace.
The clock had died at two,
The first rays of light still came through,
The man with wet smile, held tight,
But he knew there was no fight.
In the amber dawn, he picks up
The fallen flowers from the ground
In despair, he regrets with a heart heavy,
For he was not the flower......
