The Hunter's Paradox

He sat a while to wait and watch the beasts
Who run to beat the fear (with strong instinct),
Pursuing them as hunters do in hunts
And fierce predators must when nature calls
To mind, the fight or flight protective act
Of those when threatened by the hungry mouth
That eats for life; however, he was shocked
When she went by the tree in white and blond
And blue soft eyes and legs of bronze sinew;
Hence, his swift shaft did fly with straight intent.
