The Hole

If I should let go of my anger,
Then I must let go of my passion as well,
My love,
My fascination,
My all,
My hell.

For it all comes together.
Bundled like hay.
It seems the Universe
will have it
no other way.

To recognize bliss,
To engrave thee abyss,
To embrace thee amiss
and set fire to this—
Would leave nothing
but the ashes of an empty man
in God's hands.
Exiled— banned—
In grave command
of no man's land.

All of this I understand.

To carry a hole
through which the wind would blow
into eternity....

Eternally.

Yes, I cannot wait till the rain gets here.

The same way you smile
when the clouds disappear.
When the lights persevere—
When the Gods are sincere,
We only cross paths
when the paths are clear.

And I should want this anger to subside
as much as you.
And I do.
But we cannot build a wall
between the truth.
You cannot have your cake
and eat it too.

All of those birthdays....

What a stain.
What a shame.
What a way to look back on pain.

In awe
Insane
Inside
my youth.
What I saw
has drained
the light
from my view.

So if I should let go of my anger—
I bid you the sky,
The world shall be less whatever,
And so shall I.
