The Heartbeat of a Broken Heart

Anyone who's ever loved
knows the heart felt rhythm of joy!
          There's laughter when we talk
          and sizzle when we walk!
Nothing bothers nor does it annoy!

But like a coin that has two sides
          the other unfortunately
has a beat of it's own
          and once it is known
          we never forget that easily!

Each and every heart you see
is touched by joy and pain.
We learn in time
that it's rhythm and rhyme
will change again and again!

The beat taught me about
the two sides to love
and with this poem
I do here tell,
when we're in real love
it's the beat from Heaven,
A broken heart's
the beat from Hell!

          Take some time
          and give this some thought-
if you do I'm sure you'll see,
          that there is a way
          starting now....today
          to stop love's
          hurting heart symphony!

          If love comes your way
          and touches your heart
you must be honest and true!
          Do unto this heart
          what'll make sweet music
          and this music
          will be brought unto you!

"The Heartbeat Of A Broken Heart"
is one unlike it's counterpart,
instead of music that sounds so sweet
it's got a rhythm that's out of beat!

Deep within it's one we feel.
We'd rather have it not be real!
The joy or the sadness,
what sets them apart-
"The Heart Beat Of A Broken Heart!"
