The Heart is not a shield,
Nor a weapon does it wield!
It doesn't stand a chance,
Against a BB gun, or lance!
You can lock it, tight away,
Not let it see the light of day,
But then, you would find,
That those who Don't Love are blind!
To the Heavenly Light,
The one that splits the lovelorn Night!
Doomed to crawl around, in the Dark,
Unable to see, missing Love's Unending Spark!
It is better to have loved, and Lost,
Than to pay such a Deadly cost!
