The Graveyard Dancer

May I dance upon your grave?
As I sing and chant happy thoughts
You killed my heart long ago
Now I bury your bloody knife
That spewed my blood like an overflowing river
Drowned into the emptiness of the discarded
You murdered my essence
Twisting the knife of fate into my guts
Time may have healed old wounds
I was never bitter, only sad
Not to taste the sweetness of garden figs
I suffered not at your hands
I suffered at the loyalty of my heart
So now I rise again from the dead
I smell the sweet fragrance of white roses
As I dance upon your grave
I lie down to smile in eternal peace at last
