The Gift That I Give You
You’re a gift of precious gem God has given me,
a treasure, the celestial glimmer in you I see.
I express humble gratitude to Him in return,
and give you my cherished gift for it’s my turn.
I make my adoring heart as tender as a rose,
lay on your eyes as dream when they close.
I make my enticing smile as sparkling as dew,
adorn your mind’s meadow each day anew.
My ardent love is as vibrant as my poems’ rhyme,
on its wave I’ll keep you afloat till the end of time.
