The Flame

The largest blaze can start from the smallest spark, untamed;
As was our love, which is the sweetest flame.
Your very voice throws fire through my soul;
My need for you is like wind for coal.
Our kiss is the passionate spice that keeps the cinders warm;
My body against yours is the calm in the fury of the storm.
As we make love, my world turns a colorful mosaic;
With a moist genlte kiss, my life becomes opaque.
I trust that and you with all my heart;
God keeps us close, though we may ever be far apart.
When will I see you again, my beloved, my devotion;
How am I just to store up all the raoring emotion?
When I catch sight of you, my hands begin to sweat;
My love has been growing ever since we met.
Everytime we are close, love turns up the heat;
You are so soft, gentle, caring, and sweet.
I’ve known you yet for a short time, although it would seem years;
Is it right or wrong? You make me happy, that one thing is clear.
To hold you is to know you, to kiss you is to love you;
To the point of endless sleep, when our time on earth is through.
You and I will never again be the same;
For we have been touched and warmed by the flame.
