Love Poem: The First Kiss

The First Kiss

You took my hand,
Warm fingers embracing mine.
Leaves of luminescent green formed a canopy above,
While crystalline waters tumbled over rocks
Producing a mellifluous and iridescent display.

Our eyes met,
Love radiating between us.
An evanescent breeze momentarily stirred in the trees,
As if the angels, in anticipation, had drawn near
To bear testimony to the conflating of souls.

You pressed your lips against mine,
Emotions cascaded in ecstasy.
Celestial light, saturated the idyllic paradise
As Mother Nature sighed and the angels rejoiced
At the first kiss.
