The Fawn

The lesson of a Fawn is hard to see,
It may seem funny to you
But it all means so much to me.
This is a poem of my baby deer.

I found little Anne in a tight little ball
When she saw me she jumped to her feet,
She tried to run but could only fall,
The more the dogs barked
The harder she tried.
She called to her mother
She cried and cried.
In my arms she wiggled and squirmed
It was obvious her mother had died.

I took her to my home
Where she would be mine,
Not a whimper did I hear
Not even a whine.
She thought I was her mother
She followed me wherever I went.

She stayed with me for a year
The day she left
She brought to my eye a tear.

The point of this poem
Is that she trusted and loved
The lesson of a Fawn is simple
Put our faith and trust in God
And he will take care of you.
