Love Poem: The Fat Boys

The Fat Boys

Legends before their time
running free was their crime
Before they were even near
just as quickly they disappeared

One was black as night
the other fluffy and white
Two boys up to no good
running wild in the neighborhood

Peeing where they shouldn't pee
poo piles spreading misery
But the worst of their crime
was the random barking from behind

Just picking up the morning paper
their bark strikes like a viper
You jump into the porch roof
but they vanished in a poof

Washing the car
their bark scares you hard
You fling the water hose
onto angry neighbors it flows

Chasing cars chasing bikes
bark and growl with all their might
Running here no over there
what a crazy pair

But this is how the story ends
two little hombres are now fenced in
They invaded my yard and stole my heart
the Fat boys now would never depart

They are my little doggies my joy
forever my silly little Fat Boys
