Love Poem: The Farthest Hill

The Farthest Hill

Because love's desire trembles
like a beating heart in need
I live timeless days and nights
with memories that come like raindrops
that that fall upon me
as I cross empty seas in worn-out shoes
seeking a shore of rising tides on battered canvas
moving towards horizon's thin red thread
searching for love's welcoming arms
that gives birth to blossoms of such fragrance
I will linger and yearn to see tomorrow

For on the farthest hill I saw your silhouette
and crossed the narrow bridge to your heart
like a sparrow seeking refuge from a storm
It was my wish to find you...in dreams of silent pause
where you filled your lungs deep with love's breath
as your eyelids lifted to accept my gaze
in smiles of welcomed silence
like butterflies hovering above a nectared flower
waiting to be nourished...by love
