The Face of Fame and Power

In your eyes I've found the end of my scheme,
I've searched so long such a high water-mark.
I've spent, yet am never spent, you're my dream,
I've landed my ship, your Beauty to hark.

I've remained so low, close to the dry ground,
Spying all them diamonds, the stars like dust,
I wait until all's ready for the sound,
I'll shake off barnacles, the gathered rust.

I've had more than enough of boisterous love,
I've had my fill of this feeling famished.
I'm the Raven: return to me, my Dove,
For the Olive is no longer banished.

You, my woman, umbrella, my flower,
Are the face of both fame and of power.
