The Devil Boy Part One

Demon eyes that dwell in blue
porcelain skin pale and new
Hair of raven full and black
lips so shy color they lack

Boy so thin spitefully tall
his glare in night is recalled
Taps his fingers on the table
drinks hard liquor is if he's able
No one dares looks at him
for he is the devil clothe in sin

No one really knows his age
people know to fear his rage
Does he hunger for sweet blood
his eyes beam with a hateful love

Dressed in black from head to toe
appears from whence nobody knows
Black cats show their backs to him
he just laughs and slightly grins
Walks the night shadows the moon
always someone meets their doom

Garlic, crosses, a silver spike
quoting Scripture for it might
Keep the boy of Satan at bay
hear the murmur as villagers pray

Young and tender as her heart
within Mercy a spark starts
The boy is strange but fair
she falls for him without care
Her mother tries to lock her away
but at night Mercy strays

His senses taste the evening air
he feels the heart of she who dares
Leaves her mother to come to him
he feels hunger and grins

Through the village into the night
sweet Mercy takes flight
Into the darkness of the mountain trees
hairs on her neck freeze
The crimson moon hovers above
before her stands the demon she loves

Villagers assemble torches and swords
they swear Mercy's vengeance before the Lord
A mother screams for her daughters return
the fear of men becomes hate to burn

Mercy eyes dare to stare
into the eyes of the demons glare
He licks his lips and brushes her face
she stands tall in beauty and grace
Little child so young and sweet
tell me why your soul I shall not eat

Release the hounds find her trail
tonight the evil demon we kill
Torches high lead the way
as the villagers march brave

Mercy absent of fear
ask the boy in a voice clear
Please tell me something I must know
what is your name boy of shadows
He is taken aback almost startle
where comes this courage you borrowed

The hounds howl the moon drips
the villagers rush so close to nip
Farther higher into the mountain dark
echos of echos as the hounds bark

He tingles within but he can't feel her fear
something about her is odd and weird
Why my name hear the hounds at bay
soon the villagers will be here to slay
Mercy strong and unafraid
said little boy take me away

The dogs confused they almost cry
this is the spot a nose don't lie
Villagers search far and near
but no trace of Mercy anywhere
