The Days Alone Are So Cold

The days without you pass as slow as a winter in Antarctica
I lay awake every night, and all I can think about is back to a day
A day when you were there with me, and we cared for each other
But now that you are gone, I feel weaker then words can say

The days alone are so cold
And I am slowly growing old
Without another to hold
Me alone, I could have not foretold

Each hour without you feels like a day
The days alone are so cold
If I ever crossed your path, I wonder what I would say
Or would I say anything at all? Without you, I feel so small

A simple ant in this world, I am blind to the bigger things around
You and him are together, but my love for you is still abound
The days alone are so cold

I always wonder how I could bring you back
The days alone are so cold
How I can show you, and you can see
That you mean the world to me

I pray for a future day, when you return
And you can see and learn
That all I want is to be held and hold
Let our future days unfold
The days alone are so cold
