Love Poem: The Day After

The Day After

Half-eaten cookies and non-fat milk
Me still in my PJs all made of silk

Boxes and bows still lay in the floor
Send dad for batteries to the local store

Fatigue children from playing all day
Scattered toys in the hall way

Pick up the toys and put them in place
Pick up the wrapping, bows and lace

The house is now clean and the day draws near
Glad that Christmas comes but once a year

Then we repeat this day again tomorrow
Still filled with much joy and very little sorrow
