Love Poem: The Dawn of a New Era

The Dawn of a New Era

We
Didn't hear God's whispers

We
Chose to ignore God's cries

We
Even disregarded God's roar of
His wrath
For all wrongs we were doing:
To nature
To life
To each-other.

Then
Silence fell...
An eerie silence
Carrying with it an invisible virus
That brought:
Fear
Terror and
Death.

Suddenly
We woke up from apathy's slumber
And rush forward to repel the invading
Enemy!

Doctors and nurses,
Police and the army,
Volunteers and priests,
All took up arms against a common foe,
All ready to give their lives for their
Fellow man.

What a glorious manifestation of goodness
What a magnificent display of brotherhood
What an apotheosis of divine love!

" No greater love hath man than laying down his life
for his friends." (John 15:13)

It is certain
That this is the dawn of a new era
The birth of a novel world that would be:
Kinder
Nobler
Braver
Juster and
More loving!

God, my friends,
Works in mysterious ways
For
To lead us onto the path of righteousness,
The path from which humanity, unfortunately, has
Been led astray!
