The Dance
If I were to take your hand
And ask you to dance
By the light of the moon
Would you take a chance
You know I am just a dreamer
Or so it would seem
For there is nothing I won't do
In search of my dream
To me a dream is but a story
Waiting to be told
And as a poet writes their dream
They try to break the mold
So as you dance across your dream
Trying to get it right
Close your eyes and drift away
Dance with me tonight
As we dance across the floor
Know my words are true
I have answered all my dreams
Just by holding you
