The Conversation

I was a manager of a very respected place,
When I overheard a conversation that made a tear run down my face.
A mother and daughter were having a normal day,
When I heard the young girl ask her mommy and say,
Whats the difference between love and hate,
And why does daddy come in so late?
Why don't you whisper on the phone,
When daddy isn't at home?
Why do you and daddy argue late at night,
Whats the difference between wrong and right?
Is it me mommy,am I the reason for your tears,
Am I the one that daddy fears?
I don't understand why you two don't kiss,
Am I the reason too for this?
Are you two no longer in love,
Is that why you argue, push, and shove?
I know you love daddy and he loves you,
Even when you argue it shows through.
Tell me mommy 'cause daddy won't,
Please don't cry mommy,please don't.
This conversation made me think a bit,
About my little girl when me and my wife split.
We're together now in exhalation,
Thanks to that little girls conversation
