The Cold Winds Blow

It's as if before you know winter has taken the great landscapes
a snow too much for mankind preparations but we are not to be driven
to our confines despite, the masses bundled warm speed slowed
trek outings to their respective loves even though the cold winds blow
in renewed crisp air the certain thrive, there's no wonder He can't give shape to
so infallible in shifting winds is the heart unfelt by anything other than currents of warmth
without looking back and thinking how lucky we were, we put the rush on something
beautiful but here and now is a short lived blessing left are many to confess
they are chilled by the cold and harried at journeys end, all for survival of endless friendship
even though the cold winds blow
in renewed crisp air the certain thrive, there's no wonder He can't give shape to
so infallible in shifting winds is the heart unfelt by anything other than currents of warmth
when autumn leaves scurry sidewalks again there will be delight in the ensuing freeze
even though the cold winds blew, remnants of possibilities remain awake
that kind of magic happening for so few, springs to life anew.
