The Cherished Ones

Dancing in the rain, dancing through ash.
Just more pain, when I get another lash.
I knew they'd appear, the cherished ones.
Watch for another tear, for soon I'll be done.
While I'm waiting, I am wasting away.
Full of hating, there's nothing I could say.
You take away my life, you yet again lied.
My heart met the knife, I forever died.
I silently gasped, "But you promised."
I slowly collapsed, and my fire diminished.
Without hesitation, not missing a beat,
You saw my retalliation, to my death and defeat.
Dancing on my grave, dancing through the night.
You held my star, you felt the burn.
I've recieved many a scar, now it's your turn.
I've never stopped dancing, for I hear your song.
The sorrow's enhancing, for I've known misery for so long.
All these thoughts, upon leaving.
My soul you bought, now I stop believing.
That melody, is so beautiful.
I cannot see, the marionette strings you pull.
I'm dancing on by, through our song.
Now's my time to die, or am I wrong?
Dancing and dying, how can I stop your lying?
