The Cat That Left

The Cat That Left...

My inner being went away,
When you suddenly died that
Saturday.

You magnificent Tortie, made of God's colors,
Left me, your cat Mother,
to be with your brothers.

You had been my companion
for fourteen years.
Now...leaning over your dead body, under a waterfall of my
hot tears.

I pick you up and cradle you
in my arms,
Though dead, oh, how so alive
your charms.

That long multi soft colored fur still glowing in death,
Oh, God, much to beautiful to forget.

I placed my dead, blind cat on
a big soft chair,
And flowers from my garden with great affection, I placed
ever so softly there.

I thanked God for having her.
Blindness and Beauty all
wrapped in feline fur.

My God! How I loved her!

In Memory of Luvey.
