Love Poem: The Calm

The Calm

A dull moment does not exist, and silence is forbidden
The maiden lady waits for her kiss, her unknown prince hidden

The people stir and talk about the news of the royals
Mayhem breaks along its chain and people lose their morals

The lonely princess awaits the return of her unforgotten love
Because hoping she’s in a fairytale helps her to not give up

Looking down there’s not much to see but riots around the castle door
Taking turns trying to see if the structure of the entrance is poor

Hoping to break their way in and overthrow the regal
Nothing that we can do, for insanity isn’t illegal

The young prince never arrived for the poor young woman
Her days were wasted on a dream where a happy ending never won

So, my King, we must sit back and watch the madness before us
Because sooner or later our Kingdom will fall, but our love will never leave us
