The Bride To Her Future Groom
One night in spring I dreamt my future groom
Ride a white stallion with me in blue hills
Across the moon drenched meadow in full bloom
I woke up holding in mind future thrills.
You will come in my life a prince from dream
Cradled in strong arms I will sleep secure
In your fond eyes seeking me I will gleam
My fading days I’m sure you will endure.
For our children we will build a warm nest
I will remain by your side at all times
Blue sky we will meet on canopy crest
We will drink life to the dregs full of rhymes.
My heart tells future to no longer wait
Blossom love togetherness would create.
