Love Poem: The Bride To Her Future Groom

The Bride To Her Future Groom

You shall, as from now, have my hand to hold
Pray, together, our destined fate, we shall mold
I shall do all that I can to please you
But remember that sometimes, my moods do get blue!

I relish the comfort that the shelter of your love gives
So much that I do intend it that our story be placed in archives
I have bared my soul to you, in good faith and trust
And exalt that you do accept my scars and my ugliness at their worst!

We were meant to be together, from the time we birthed
The skies have made it known to me, in ways so secret
Unto their power I have submitted my soul
Have faith, we shall also leave together!

For you, my freedom, my ambitions, my dreams have I sacrificed
Because I just know, that our union remains my sole call
Yes, I fell to Earth, out of pain of thinking myself as unloved
But how wrong I was, you fell right after me, to have me saved!

Our lives being connected remain the wish of the heavens
Like me, the inhabitants thereof shall remain, to you, forsaken
For having adhered to this desire of theirs
For, it hurts them to see that we are, without each other, so sunken!

Pray, I shall be dutiful and faithful
And shall make it that love abounds in our home, in bountiful
I only ask from you that you remain as such, love drenched
For without your shadow over me, I would be but a wretch!
