The Breakup, Love Words Wasted

The Breakup, Love Words Wasted

You stole away my picture when I sent gentle love to you

words I gifted in sweet refrain you didn't have a clue

I saw so much left untouched and so desperately unsung

words were stillborn , lover's bell so sadly never rung

I sang my heart out to catch your sweet angel eyes!

you left me crying for love with only heartache in my pies

Writing sweet melodies to match your favorite tunes

you left me thirsty for more in your hotly deserted dunes

You stole away my picture as my words fell so very flat

Don't you know love and gentleness is where it is really at?

I saw the winking of those so pretty blue angel eyes

you left me wanting sweet kisses without your pretty lies

Now love sent you a new victim to make your very own

You'll starve him for your loving right down to skin and bone

I want back my loving picture so foolishly given to you

Keep the envelope , it is far more , than you are ever due!
