The Biggest Lie

Ive told my share of white lies, but what do they matter?
Competed with other guys, but what are they after?
Gave all of me over, in pursuit of your heart.
In contrast to the world, i was true from the start!
So, if love conquers all, and can last forever.
Where'd we go wrong at, why didnt we last together?
Cause it can't be real, it's just a tool of convenience.
To manipulate fools, and you're a fool to believe it!
Everything love's said to be, often proves that it isn't.
Hate and love are strong feelings that we assume to be different.
Confusing situations, considered hearts foul use.
Hearts lie, so never take the heart for face value.
Love consists of small dreams, that everyone's selling you.
So just accept the fact of what life is telling you.
There's no use of trying to grasp what you'll never hold.
Love is, and will always be, the biggest lie ever told!
