The Beauty of You and Me

Upon the wake of the early morning rise
I wipe clean the sediment of what the sandman has left there in my eyes
I look out the wondrously out the window to see
The beauty of all that's around me
The grass and the flowers touched so delicately by the mornings dew
And my ears hear the birds sing so enchantingly a heavenly song to which to me is new
But my wild imagination can never focus on anything else to long and it goes right back to
you
And in anything and everything you do
Taking me to places I never before knew
Kissing me so strong yet extremely tender
As you stare intensely into my eyes I completely abide and surrender
You caress me with your gently rough touch
It's now all this I greatly miss so terribly much
But I know and feel that you think of me a lot of your time
Just go with it would that be so much of a horrendous crime
Stop pushing me down it's no use in trying to keep those emotions under control
Search your heart, search your soul
Do you still find me there as you did before
I long ago gave you the key to my hearts door
My soul is aching and my body is broken and sore
Take me again into your arms and pull me off this floor
Wake with me in an early mornings rise
Together wipe away the sediment from the sandman in the corners of our eyes
We can look out wondrously out the window and see
The beauty between us of you and me
