Why can’t I find that someone?
That someone who will love me
That someone who will care for me.
That someone who will hold me tight
That someone who will treat me right.
That someone who will cheer me up when I am blue
That someone who will make my dreams come true.
That someone who will be gentle to my heart
That someone who will tell me that we’ll never part.
That someone who will be with me in the night
That someone who will make me shine bright.
That someone who will always put a smile on my face
That someone who will speed up my heart’s pace.
That someone who will shower me with roses and flowers
That someone who will spend endless hour
That someone who will catch me if I fall
That someone who will give me sweet kisses.
That someone who will give me warm hugs
That someone who will protect me from harm’s way.
That someone who will be there for me
That someone who will be true to me.
That someone who will always be my angel from above
That someone who will always show me his love.
But that someone isn’t standing by my side
If he was, he would be my guide.
I won’t give up my hopes.
I keep praying and praying that he will come my way
I’m always on the lookout everyday.
But I know that someone is out there
Is that someone far or near?
