Love Poem: That Same Day

That Same Day

One long stem white rose, he extends
To a lass, he chose and longed to tend
With cold both hands, she gets and smell
Each petal closed wanting to bloom and swell

Years has passed since the very same day
She agreed and said yes for a date
Same cafeteria, they chose and sat to stay
Old familiar faces laughing on the queue

Her short hair before, now healthier longer
Her heart shaped face, accented with colors
Her full soft lips, a delicious bright pink
Her eyes, before shy anew with confidence

How could I ever forget such radiance
How could I not want for more and more
Leaving me in awe, catching my breath
Digging in to my thoughts and feelings

With these, led me to woo and win her
With these, it inspired and moved me to her
Bearing my prayers that God will bless me
And God has been good and great
For this same day, she
agreed for marriage
