swept away and tossed about by vicious seas
somehow i managed to survive and drift ashore
dark the day my world imploded
when i wrote off forevermore my shattered heart
grim the day my life lost sense and reason
yet i managed somehow to march on through
harsh the day i walked you to the doors of death
letting go of your hand to become a widow
